About Silver Fescue
Hello! My name is Amy, and I run Silver Fescue.
I have lived in South Devon most of my life, and have been lucky enough to have been brought up by a wonderful silversmith and all round nature loving, creative, and health loving family.
I have always been creative but always struggled to put a solid finger on something, whether it was cooking, crafting, or making jewellery with my Mum. For some years we did this together in her amazing workshop. However I choose to going travelling for many years, various moves and what feels like hundreds of jobs later I'm finally settling. Maybe lock down has helped!
Just before lockdown 1, I decided to move into my boyfriends farm. I couldn't have been luckier to live here for the last couple of years! Endless green fields to clear the mind whenever needed, peace and quiet (most the time - when the boys aren't rushing around in big machines) and generally starting to relax into farm life.

The idea came about in 2020 while walking through the front fields to check the cows with the household, (other half, two dogs and a cat who loves to follow us.)
I was running my hands over all the seed heads and grasses, and decided to pick myself a handful. This turned into a beautiful organic bouquet of texture and shapes. (Other half moaning)
This bouquet is still in the house today, and I have absolutely fallen in love with how it's dried, how delicate it is, how its changed colour and how it remind me of summer.
Something much needed in winter.

From this inspiration I am now feeling creative and inspired once again. I am creating new ranges of jewellery and selling these beautiful bouquets to give anyone a bit of sunny English Summer.

Over the years my love for nature has only grown stronger, travelling widens your awareness, and now living on a working farm I am learning every day. I live as consciously as I can and this will show in my business, Silver Fescue.
